10 years ago, MSM Romania was beginning the first intake of the Executive MBA, an education program for managers looking to develop themselves both personally and professionally. Over the years, we’ve heard multiple times about the impact it had on them and how they only wished they studied the program earlier.
So, we listened. In 2019, we launched the Master in Management, a program meant to better prepare university graduates and young professionals for a leadership career. 5 innovators trusted us with their management education and started the first intake. As they end their program (their thesis are being presented on 28 August) and we are getting ready to welcome the second intake, we wanted to see what they got from 10 months of program (some of it online).
Cezar Petrescu was the first to answer our questions:
Tell us a bit about your bachelor. Why did you choose to go for a Master program after it?
Having a bachelor in law I considered that this Master program is a good way to shift my career towards business and entrepreneurship.

How did you decide for MSM Master in Management program? Did you change your area after the bachelor? Why?
After I worked in a corporation for one year I decided that the best way to go on in my career would be to learn more about business from real teachers, people that are still relevant to the current business trends and know-hows.
What expectations did you have before starting the program? Were those expectations met?
My expectations where met. I wanted to gain knowledge and experiences from people that don’t come to class for a paycheck.
How do you feel about the curriculum? Does it cover all your needs?
The curriculum covers all the information that I could have wanted from a master in management.

How about the internships? Did you find them useful? What did you like most and least about them?
The internships where not what I expected. They are not what comes to mind when you think about an internship, as they exceeded my expectations. All together they taught us how to think outside of the box and from a more entrepreneurial perspective.
How did you find your time in The Netherlands?
It was an important experience that prepared me for the future.

What are your plans now that you graduated?
Re-engineering the business that I am currently a part of and starting a new side project with a friend.
